What is not publishedthe gaps we looked for and did not find

Air Ecology, EMF Harmony and Sound and Sensory Ecology returned nothing this standard scores. On air, the published suite equipment list gives air conditioning in all rooms, the resort's own magazine article Luxus und Nachhaltigkeit describes an additional heat pump that cools the new hotel rooms and suites, and the building services engineer Integral publishes a heating project for the resort with 1,000 kilowatt heat pumps using waste heat from the baths. Those describe cooling and heat supply rather than filtration or fresh air, and no filter grade, no fresh air supply rate, no carbon dioxide, particulate or volatile organic compound reading and no mould inspection protocol is published. The landscape architect's project page describes fire bowls in the park, an outdoor combustion source, and nothing is published either way about combustion sources inside guest rooms. On EMF, the suite equipment list names a desk, wifi and telephones, and a lighting supplier's release names the ZBOX lighting management system, which is a lighting control bus rather than guest data infrastructure. No network topology, cabling specification, access point or meter placement is published, and no field measurement in a sleeping area is published. On sound, htr.ch reported in May 2023 that the new windows for the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz were flown in by helicopter, with no glazing or sound insulation rating attached, and no measured background level in a guest room, no acoustic separation rating between adjoining keys, no plant or air conditioning noise figure and no statement about diffused fragrance is published anywhere. On water, the source analysis the resort publishes carries no laboratory, analyst, method, sampling date or sampling point, and it covers the thermal water the resort's baths are filled from rather than the drinking water at a guest room tap, for which nothing is published. A treatment train is published only for the Tamina Therme, the public thermal bath on the campus, where SRF quotes the water quality supervisor describing circulation through a sand filter with chlorine disinfection and ozone, and where R. Nussbaum publishes a 60 degree flush of a shower line. No treatment or sanitation method is published for the Helena Bath at 35 degrees, the Sports Bath at 29 degrees or the Garden Pool at 28 degrees inside the hotels, and a third party technical page names Kannewischer Ingenieurbüro as the pool technology and building services engineer for the Tamina Therme, which names the engineer rather than the method. On materials, a mattress brand is named in trade coverage of the Hof Ragaz refurbishment and a supplier release names oiled walnut parquet in the Spa Suites, and no fibre content, textile certification, paint, adhesive or sealant specification and no cleaning or laundry chemistry is published. The group sustainability page reports an esg2go score and a carbon footprint in tonnes of CO2, which are management and consumption figures rather than measurements of anything these pathways cover. The Quellenanalyse is a PDF that automated extraction could not read, so it was read as a rendered document, and the Zumtobel lighting and interior detail was read from the Zumtobel press release hosted on World Construction Network rather than from zumtobel.com.

Regional context3 public figures about the area, none of which scores

Public data about the surrounding area. None of it contributes to the score, because a property cannot be marked down for the conditions outside it.

  • Yield of the municipal Ragazerquellen springs supplying Bad Ragaz drinking water: The Ortsgemeinde Bad Ragaz publishes a yield of 170 to 600 litres of drinking water per minute from the Ragazerquellen. This is the municipal supply to the village, not a statement about what reaches a guest room, and no treatment step is published with it. Source
  • Safely managed drinking water, Switzerland: The World Health Organization reports 97 per cent of the population nationally using a safely managed drinking water service. This describes the country, not this property, and says nothing about what reaches a guest room here. It is recorded because it is the background against which a property's own treatment is worth publishing. Source
  • Ambient PM2.5 and PM10 near Bad Ragaz, Switzerland: Modelled ambient air over this location averaged 6.4 micrograms per cubic metre of PM2.5 and 9.3 of PM10 across the 720 hours to 2026-08-17, peaking at 12.2 PM2.5. The World Health Organization annual guideline for PM2.5 is 5. This is the outdoor air over the area, modelled rather than measured on site, and it is not a reading of the air inside any room. Source
Not published is not unsafehow to read these scores, and what this index does not promise

A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.

These scores measure disclosure. These scores describe disclosure, not property quality. This index has no commercial relationship with the properties listed unless a badge on the listing says otherwise.

Conditions change, and we will not always know. Every record is a snapshot of what a property had published when we read it, and that date is on the page. Conditions change: a property can refit, change suppliers or replace a system at any time, and nothing requires it to tell us. We re-read records and ask properties directly for updates, but there will always be a gap between what is true today and what was published when we looked. Use this as a frame of reference for what to ask, not as a substitute for asking. Take your own questions to the property before you book, and tell us if you find something we have wrong.

We report what properties publish. We do not inspect, certify or vouch for any property on this index unless a listing says we assessed it on site, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made or outcomes experienced on the basis of what you read here.
